New Year Celebration Ring
We last rang the new year celebration back in 2019 but then only managed to ring five and have not rung it properly since 2018. This year we met with a few more than we needed to ring the old year out half muffled and then ring 2022 in with open bells. Pictures in our news pages. Happy New Year to all.
Whitacre's Mini Ring
Have you heard about the other ring of bells in Whitacre? Click this link to view the website to find out more about the second set of Whitacre bells especially if you are mini ring fanatic.
Have found some wax rubbings of the inscriptions taken of the bells before they were installed in 1977. A much easier task then when access was a lot easier. These rubbings were used as part of the advertising display used to raise money to complete the installation. They show the decorative part of the bells including some names and a image of a King George 1 two guinea gold piece which shows up especially clearly on the second bell. Find out more on the bell detail page.
