Lea Marston Joint service

We made the effort to ring at Lea Marston this morning but sadly met with only two ringers. So a joyful noise was made with just the front two bells.

Rang half muffled for Remembrance today but met one short. So we rang 12456 to make sure we used the tenor. When call changes were suggested we discussed which numbers to use and as DIck chose 17 and Julie chose 6 despite ringing the actual 4th and 5th bell we rang call changes using these numbers. Keeps you on your toes if nothing else. Lovely sound still with the bells muffled and nice to see a good fill in the church as well.

Muffles on and ropes again

Not quite fireworks but with the muffles on for the practice night which always makes the bells sound so nice the rope on the second decided to slip wheel. Simple solution in the end - change it for one on the third and then the practice continued.
